Step-by-Step Production Process of Moissanite Jewelry
Handcrafted Excellence
Ten Steps to Perfection
At Kermis Luxury, every piece of moissanite jewelry goes through a carefully controlled production process—from design and stone setting to final polishing and quality inspection. Every moissanite chain, pendant and bracelet is meticulously handcrafted in our factory using 925 sterling Silver and VVS moissanite stones.
Here is our ten-step craftsmanship process, carefully designed to ensure exceptional quality, durability, and lasting beauty in every piece.
1. Jewelry Design & Concept
Every piece begins with a detailed design concept. Our designers develop the jewelry’s shape, dimensions, stone layout, setting style, and overall appearance.
For custom jewelry, we develop the design based on the customer’s specifications before production begins.
2. 3D CAD Desining
The approved design is converted into a precise 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) model.
The CAD model defines important details such as:
- Overall dimensions
- Stone sizes and placement
- Prong and setting structure
- Link dimensions
- Chain thickness
- Pendant or bracelet proportions
This digital model allows the production team to check the design before creating the physical piece.
3. Wax Model Creation
Once the CAD model is finalized, a highly precise wax or resin prototype is produced using specialized 3D printing technology.
This model represents the final jewelry design and is inspected for proportions, structure, and stone placement.
4. Casting the Jewelry
The wax/resin model is used to create a casting mold. Molten jewelry metal is then carefully poured into the mold.
Depending on the product, the jewelry may be produced using materials such as 925 sterling silver or other specified precious metals.
After the metal cools, the casting is removed from the mold and prepared for finishing.
5. Cutting & Removing Excess Metal
After casting, excess metal from the sprues and casting channels is carefully removed.
The jewelry undergoes grinding and filing to remove casting imperfections and refine its surfaces.
6. Links Soldering
Each individual link is carefully hand-soldered with expert precision, creating a strong, secure connection designed for lasting durability. Each link is carefully connected and assembled to form a complete, seamless chain.
7. Moissanite Stone Setting
The appropriate VVS moissanite stones are selected according to the approved design.
The selected moissanite stones are carefully hand-set by skilled craftsmen.
Depending on the design, different setting techniques may be used, including:
- Prong setting
- Bezel setting
- Pave setting
- Channel setting
- Micro-pave setting
Each stone is secured carefully to achieve a consistent and durable finish.
8. Polishing & Finishing
The jewelry is carefully polished to develop its desired surface finish and shine.
The finishing process helps enhance the appearance of both the metal and moissanite stones.
9. Cleaning & Presentation
Before packaging, each piece is professionally cleaned to remove polishing residue, dust, and fingerprints.
The jewelry is then carefully handled to preserve its finish and brilliance.
10. Final Quality Control
Before dispatch, the completed jewelry goes through a final quality-control check.
Our team verifies:
- Product design
- Metal quality/specification
- Stone setting
- Finish and polish
- Clasps and closures
- Overall workmanship
- Packaging condition
Only after completing the required checks is the piece prepared for shipment.
